Five Elements Hostel

It would be nice if the beds could have a curtain and a little more privacy. Could be much cheaper.

A lot of junkies in the area. Though the hostel warned us about It's location and had a grace period of 24hr to cancel for free if we changed our mind, so it's on us for staying. It's a trade off though, because it's super close to the train station and if you're pressed for time, it's great. Or if you're junkie. You can find your people, police won't bother you from what we saw.

I didn't like the location at all. The streets were full of drugs, drunks, and pimps. It felt very unsafe being outside in the dark, and since it's winter while I stayed, it was dark very early. The walls were very thin. The windows weren't insulated, so it was colder than it could've been. The bathroom was clean except for the hair on the walls, the painted shower instead of a tiled one, the lime scale on the faucet, shower heads, and the bottom of the toilet. If you bent down a little, you could see a line of limescale and muck right under the toilet bowl. The shower also didn't have a door, so the water went everywhere. The chairs were made of wood with no cushions, so sitting on them to eat was very uncomfortable. The bed frame dug into my legs as well, and I found it hard to get out of bed without pulling myself up by holding on to something. You can't regulate the temperature at all. I turned on the radiator because I like my space a little warmer than normal, but by the next morning, it was barely warm to the touch. I know that I get what I pay for, but a few minor changes like chair cushions and different bed frames could improve the experience a lot more.

The region around Hauptbahnhof is not very safe, so I don’t recommend to walk alone at night.

The location has a lot of drug addicts and as a female traveler I did not feel safe and in the early mornings they make too much trouble, I could not sleep any night. Also inside the hostel there were problems on my floor, people fighting and they tried to open my bedroom. They banged on the door for a couple of hours.

Dirtiness, crowd, noise in the corridor at night, rude reception.

Ist nicht wirklich ein Kritikpunkt, denn ich wusste wo das liegt, aber Lärm-technisch ist es nicht optimal.

Weird location, but i was informed about it before hand

The heating did not work and the staff was rude enough even to apologize or make up for it. "This is what it is" should not be expected.

Sie sollten Schilder in den Zimmern anbringen, die das Telefonieren verbieten, in einem Zimmer mit 4 Personen und einer Dame, die sehr laut telefonierte, ließen wir uns nicht schlafen

The local area can be noisy. lobby and rooms overheated,

La zona de alrededor no es muy buena.

Quizás un poco los alrededores y la actitud del personal no latino, no saben cómo tratar a los huéspedes
