Five Elements Hostel

My room had a window towards the street which is full of junkies and dodgy people who were fighting, arguing, and shouting all night - and that was a Monday night so I imagine weekends must be even worse. You have to make your own bed, it's not a big deal but for the price, it was a little unexpected. The socket/light next to my bed had naked wires from wear and tear - not very safe. Lastly, I was unlucky with whom I shared the room so I did not manage to sleep much, but I am aware that there is nothing the hostel can do about this.

Gefallen hat mir nicht es wurden Sachen aus dem Kühlschrank geklaut wass man gekauft hat dass fande ich gar nicht gut und nachts konnte man kaum schlafen ???? viel krach und bis zum frühen Morgen Musik und geschnarche im Zimmer obwohl ich dann auch noch Arbeiten musste am nächsten Tag an meine Arbeitstelle da gebe ich dafür die Note ungenügend

I arrived at the hotel alone in the evening, and the receptionist at the front desk told me that I must pay the room card deposit and city tax in cash, otherwise I will be refused check-in. I am a girl traveling alone and do not carry cash with me. I hope to pay by credit card. The front desk staff refused to pay the fee in this form and refused to allow me to pay the fee later. They forced me to go out alone at night to withdraw money from a bank machine, which was really terrible!

There was no internet connection in the room. I told the staff, but they didn't do anything about it. It seemed like they didn't believe me. They don't issue receipts for breakfast. Only if you ask for it can you get one. The location is quite eerie.

It is very dangerous! I would definitely not recommend for woman that travels alone. I had to take taxi and the driver was really scared, that I was at this hostel. He also said, there are other hostels and hotels near from the train station, that are not that dangerous. The next door from the hotel is a bordel and at the corner as well. I felt unsafe also during the day, it seems like the junkies were talking about me the two times that I walked through the streets. (They screamed to each other: “die Frau!” (The woman!)) The internet in the room was terrible, I had to use my mobile data. I had trouble to climb the upper bed and the light of my bed was not working. The staff don’t speak German - maybe just one of them. They write you an email right after the booking warning of the location and saying that you can refund *now*, even though you book as non-refundable. I read the email a few hours later and answered but then it wasn’t possible anymore. After that they say they can only refund after 4 hours from booking. They try that in order to not get bad reviews, but I’m sorry, that location is one of the main points from a hostel or hotel. I really think this could be a nice hostel, but in a other location.

Only reason to advice not to go is when you are a light sleeper. Cause its 100mtr form the main station so all day long you got people on the street 24hours, sirens, for me and people that like there is always something happening it is a pro instead of a con

Schimmel im Zimmer (Appartement), dreckiges Bad, Lautstärke nachts auch bei geschlossenen Fenster, Geruch überall im Objekt. Außerdem entsprach die Ausstattung des Zimmer keinerlei den Angaben und es fehlte Bettbezug für 1 gebuchte Person

Wer Frankfurt und das Rotlichtviertel nicht kennt, für den kann die Lage ein echtes Problem sein. Das Hostel selbst ist aber sicher. Auf dem Gruppenzimmer gibt es nur das Bett, keine Schränke oder Ablagen, außer einer schweren Box unter dem Bett, die man abschließen kann. (Schloss gegen Pfand), Bad ist auf dem Flur (Badelatschen empfohlen, selbst mitbringen) ist auch ausreichend, mir fehlte es allerdings an trockenen Ablagemöglichkeiten, alles um das Waschbecken herum war bei mir immer triefend nass gewesen.

Lage im Bahnhofsviertel und Rotlicht und Drogen Viertel Außerhalb des Hostels nicht schön, aber durch hohe Sicherheit sehr gut im Hostel!

Das Hostel liegt direkt neben einem Puff und in einer dunklen Gegend mit vielen Drogen, Prostitution und Obdachlosigkeit. Das sollte man vorher wissen, man wird vom Hostel auch darüber informiert. Leider waren das Stockbett und Kopfkissen sehr unbequem. Es wackelte auch die ganze Nacht.

The bed and the quality of the bedclothes were very poor. I slept on the upper floor, and the bed moved and swang whenever the person below me moved or turned. So the sleep quality was terrible. Moreover, the sheets were torn, and I couldn't use them properly.

I have read about previous guests' comments regarding the Hostel being in the red light district. I did not realize how it was that bad. I did not feel safe walking at night even at 8:00 PM. As I was assigned in a room fronting the main street, there was constant noise.

Sehr laute und dreckige Umgebung im Bahnhofsviertel. Straßenlärm und laute Musik von Nachbargebäuden sind deutlich zu hören.

Ich mußte mit meinen 79 Jahren im oberen Bett schlafen. Ich bin kaum hochgekommen.

El sector está muy bien ubicado pero hay mucho Junky. Sin embargo parece seguro.

I know the neighborhood is really bad , but it is just to stay at night and perfect to take the train to the airport without any issues. So I didn't mind it.
