Weltempfänger Hostel

Ein durchschnittliches Hostel, in dem man eine Nacht gut aushalten kann, länger wollte ich aber nicht bleiben. Das Team ist super nett und die Zimmer völlig OK, aber eben keine positive Überraschung dabei. Alles in allem solide und zu empfehlen für einen kurzen Aufenthalt.

The dorms and the shared spaces were very tidy and welcoming. The lady at the reception was very sweet and helpful, trying to accommodate me with checking in early. There was an unfortunate mixup with the beds, where instead of putting clean sheets on the available bed they changed another occupant's and we unfortunately figured it out way too late during the day for the staff to be able to fix it. Thankfully, they admitted it was their mistake and refunded my stay.

Ein wirklich nettes Hostel mit allem was man braucht und total lieben Mitarbeitern. Die Einrichtung ist vielleicht nicht super fancy aber das machte es für mich sehr gemütlich. Highlight war für mich die Küche, wo es immer Kaffee(inkl.Hafermilch) und Tee sowie Toast zur Selbstbedienung gibt.

Heel leuk hostel! Op een top locatie naast een metrohalte en boven een leuke bar, en tegenover een super lekkere bakkerij! Ook een heel erg knusse en gezellige woonkamer/keuken met gratis koffie thee en fruit! Erg aan te raden!

The hostel was very nice and in a good location - surrounded by lots of shops and just a short tram ride away from the centre. The facilities were good, we were just a few things missing, like some lights did not work, very short time on the shower, and no hooks in the bathroom for towels and clothes.

The hostel is fairly nice, however, the pictures on the listing are a bit misleading. The bar/cafe downstairs, used to be part of the hostel but no longer is. The common area remaining is almost non-existent. Additionally, if your room faces the main street, it is extremely loud with the windows open.

Excellent hostel. Helpful staff. Good facilities, clean and secure. Basic kitchen items provided - coffee, milk, bread etc. Other guests polite, friendly and respectable. Practical location to get to city centre and onward transport connections. Neighbourhood has many places to eat, bars and grocery stores. Hostel is above a very nice bar which can get noisy late at night - people standing outside chatting. Also other general steet noises audible from room so light sleepers may find this a problem. Very nice hostel, booked a private room with en-suite bathroom, shower kept turning off on its own, but very clean and safe. A bit far from the city center of Cologne, but a nice area

The kitchen was great but the rooms were way too cramped which made it awful in the heat. The mattress was comfortable but my bunk bed was in the way of the door and it wasn’t very secure, would move every time I climbed up

Nice little hostel located in an interesting alternative area, friendly staff, comfy beds, amazing shower. The room was a bit tiny, warm and noisy from the street, but I still managed to get a good night of sleep. You can even make a free breakfast there!

Quiet hostel and older facilities. Reception was gone before 8PM (although it says you can check in up until 8). Not a social hostel if you’re looking for that.

Everything was excellent, the rooms were clean and the staff was really friendly. We would stay again. The only thing to be improved was the kitchen cleanliness, it could use some more attention from the hostel management to ensure dishes/counters are clean

Accueil chaleureux, personnel très sympathique, le logement est situé à côté du tram (1min à pieds), ce qui est très pratique pour se déplacer en ville. L'endroit est sympa, c'était propre donc bon rapport qualité prix. Nous étions dans une chambre pour 4 personnes.
