Weltempfänger Hostel

Hostel was fairly close to city centre. Staff were very friendly. Showers were clean. Well equipped kitchen facilities in the common room. Had pleasant conversations with several other solo travellers.

Overall good place to stay. We just came to see the cathedral, spend the night and head out, so for that purpose it suited us nicely. 1.8 miles away from the cathedral and train station which wasn’t too bad. Very friendly staff.

Biggest problem is, that beds are allocated, so anyone can choose any bed he/she wants. This resulted in the following dilemma: I spent two nights in the hostel, on the second night the staff made my bed (without changing the sheets probably), when I came back later, another person was sleeping "my" bed, assuming it was fresh because it was made. Since there were no other beds with recently changed sheets available I was forced to sleep in a bed that some other person already slept in. Gross.
