Old Kings Hostel

The shower didn’t have a door that locked. No kitchen but there was hot water and a fridge which is good to keep in mind when grocery shopping.

It seems every place in Germany is much smaller and cramped than an American is typically accostumed to.

The pillows were terribly weird and uncomfortable, the room was very impractical, most hooks for hanging clothes were broken, door to ladies bathroom was broken and so was one of the 2 showers. Steep stairs. Noisy, beeping code to access room = impossible to enter without waking up everyone in the room ( and probably every other guest too since the walls were so thin)

I stayed in a mixed room. It was a bit inconvenient for me to change clothes as there wasn’t a separate curtain for each bed. The rest was of things perfectly fine.

Badeværelserne

The fact that the dorms were mixed genders. That women are not safe when a man makes inappropriate sexual comments and gestures when they are in bed. This was my experience. I had a lucky escape! It was very distressing. There are no staff physically present apart from 8am -10am. There is no emergency button. The owner was not caring , I didn't even get offered a refund!

Unhygienisches, unsauberes Badezimmer, mit zwei Duschen, von der eine kaputt war. Eine Badezimmertür, die sich nicht öffnen oder schließen ließ, sondern immer in einem Zustand „verharrte“.

Die Tür zur Damendusche hat sich nicht schließen lassen

Wenig Stauraum für Gepäck.

Les lits sont un peu creux, le fait qu’il n’y ait pas de casier (quelque chose m’a été volé, rien de bien cher mais déçue de ça quand même) et les douches qui étaient sales lorsque j’y passais, même si cela est peut être plutôt dû aux autres voyageurs, et que la porte de la sdb ne fermait pas et il y avait 2 douches mais elles se faisaient face donc bonjour l’intimité (au final c’est comme s’il n’y en avait qu’une)

Kein wirklicher Kritikpunkt, aber das Zimmer (8 Pers.) war natürlich voll und die Ohrenstöpsel sollten schon nicht fehlen, damit man etwas schlafen kann. Es wurde zwar nachts sehr Rücksicht auf einander genommen, aber wer mit Schnarchen nicht zurecht kommt, schläft dann nicht viel.

There was only one toilet for the women’s bathroom and although there were 2 showers only one was working.

Bathroom was pretty small and cramped. Just a nature of the space and building. The lobby / social area is very small too, so not too many areas to comfortably meet with others in the hostel.

Déçu. Pas de salle de bain privative, de plus la salle de bain collective ne peut être verrouillée donc les personnes circulent librement, PAS D'INTIMITÉ puisque les vitres sont transparentes... Lavabo bouché, ménage et ENTRETIEN LIMITÉ.. Chambre EXIGUË et mal agencée, portes pénibles à ouvrir et fermer, je ne recommande pas pour les personnes d'un certain âge qui auront du mal à faire des acrobaties pour rejoindre leur lit... Bref, séjour MOYEN, un bon compromis si on ne compte pas sur le confort de l'hôtel.
