Sunflower Hostel

I love coming back to Sunflower, whenever I come back to Berlin! One of the best areas of Berlin and with a nice staff and cool guests!

Great location, within walking minutes to Berghain. Managed to get in and want to take a break before another dancing sesh? Just walk to your room, have a quick nap and grab a bite. Didn`t get in the first time, go have a beer at the hostel bar and try again in a few. Friendly and helpful staff and 24hrs bar|reception. The room`s were ok, they lacked more power sockets and the bunkbeds were quite squeaky. Moreover, you always felt like you would trip the whole bed when climbing it to the top

The hostel has everything you need and was nice and clean. Very social as well. My only critique is that the beds were very very creaky so getting into bed late at night was always stressful so you didn’t wake anyone up.

Sehr netter Empfang, zentral und doch relativ ruhig gelegen. Das Besteigen der Doppelbetten fühlt sich allerdings etwas wackelig an. Aber alles in allem ein gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

The culture here is friendly, lively, comfortable, and affordable! My dad and I stayed here and the staff gave excellent recommendations on places to visit and eat based on our interests (music, art, history, etc). No need for a tour guide—they know what's worth your time and budget if you want to live like a local and avoid tourist traps. Their four-bed room has a spacious bathroom and locker storage with paid washers and dryers in the lobby. The lobby bar is well stocked and easy to relax in if you want a night out, but nothing too wild or far from your room. Breakfast was authentic, inexpensive, and delicious. The location is safe and easy walking distance to the U-Bahn, shops, and restaurants, cafes. When I visit Berlin, this is where I'm staying!

Let me start by saying the price is very affordable, so I wasn’t expecting much. However, I couldn’t wait to check out. The name of the hostel is misleading. It’s cold, dark, and dingy. They also charge 50 cents for tea and it doesn’t even fill your cup. Some staff are nice, while others, unprofessional. If you are into the goth scene, then this place is for you.

The room and bathroom were not cleaned during the 3 nights we were there. When we switched bunks after 2 ladies left, we were confronted rudely by a front desk lady. We were placed on the 4th floor with only stairs to get up all our travel luggage, which was not clear during registration.

Lieu: bien localisé avec terrasse devant où prendre un verre jusqu'à 22h. Equipe: Personnel de l'auberge accueillant et serviable. Buanderie: présence de machine à laver non utilisée. Cuisine: propre+fonctionnelle Sanitaire: assez propre avec douche spacieuse et agréable. Chambre: Manque de luminosité des chambres et lit superposés qui grincent grandement, déconseillé pour personne à sommeil léger. Local à vélo: possibilité de déposer les vélos dans la cour, pas de point d'attache fixe.

The staff are simply amazing! They are the friendliest people you’ll ever meet! The hostel is pretty social, towels are provided for free (with deposit). For this price you cannot go wrong with this hostel!

Hostel bom e barato, tem café da manhã por €6. Unica coisa que não gostei é que é pago os lockers para deixar a mala, fora isso, tudo perfeito

Loved Berlin but this hostel didn’t do it for me. The bathrooms and showers were dirty and seemed too few for the number of beds on each floor. The staff were ok but there were no events and the atmosphere was lacking. It seems like a lot of people just use the hostel to sleep after going to Berghain. Very convenient to S Bahn however and food nearby is top notch.

Very good location, rooms were nice. We really enjoyed staying in the bar. Cheap and good breakfast. Staff was overall nice, except for one very arrogant and unfriendly receptionist/bartender. Also, the lockers in the rooms need very specific locks, so we couldn't lock our stuff:/// Would definetly go back tho

Good rooms, good staff. However cleanliness in the showers / toilet could be improved. Floors a mess and showers where either closed or missing parts, like the shower head.

Good hostel for a short stay, everything matches the description.

perfect positition, there were very cooool people (20-30y expecially) and the staff was very gentle and available. The space outside really favorites communication and exchanges with other guys of the ostel (only if u want obv). I would raccomand this to everyone!!

I really liked this hostel. Staff were helpful and friendly. Common area was chill. The area was clean and comfortable with a cozy bar and laundry area.

Wasn’t very clean and the facilities were very poor there was two halves of a chopping board in the kitchen and one pan for everyone. The bathrooms very awful and when we arrived into the rooms there was chewing gum stuck onto the beds and the floor.

Wi-Fi was not working in my room and it’s very slow in reception area. I told the staff multiple times but no luck. Overall the hostel was good.

Great location but not very clean (especially not the bathrooms). Thin walls.

I stayed from friday to monday, 2nd to 5th. Great experience, very recommended. Staff super available and really good vibes. The only downsides are the price of the first night, which in my opinion was too high, and the cleanliness, which wasn’t great, but if u look for a social hostel u must definitely go!

Nice hostel, close to some of the techno clubs but far from the city centre. But close to stations to take public transit. Enjoyed the rooms, very clean with nice bathrooms and good beds.

We really enjoyed out stay at the Sunflower Hostel :) We stayed in the capsules, 15€ a night. A fair price for Berlin and for the location. It‘s not far from the Boxhagener Platz and the Revaler Straße (where you find lots of nice Cafés, Restaurants, Fleamarkets, food and jewellery markets,…). The Capsules are quite comfortable and worth the price. There is enough space for two people and you’re able to sit upright. I prefer leaving the door open at night, because I don’t really like the ventilation air too much, but even with your door closed you can sleep nice. Not too much noice, neither from the outside nor from the people who were staying with us in the room. Thank u, we had a great stay.

Great hostel, a little far from downtown but close to a subway station. Bed does squeak but overall a good stay

We love the place, staff were so helpful. Around was clean and safe. I think it is over p/p.

Stayed in a three person room. The room and sheets were all pristine and the furniture was minimal but pleasant. The beds were extremely comfortable. Most importantly the rooms (at least mine) are well isolated with no sound from other rooms, the hall or the street.

C’était pas mal mais ce n’est pas super propre, ils n’organisent pas d’activités, les lits ne sont pas confortables. Le quartier n’est pas très beau non plus. Autrement l’ambiance est plutôt sympa.

Clean, quiet, comfy beds, cool bar and super nice staff. Close to public transportation and nightlife.

Loved the atmosphere and staff was kind but bathrooms and toilets could be cleaner. Also they provide a towel I appreciate that but there could be one hair dryer at least. Overall I would stay there again definitely ????

I had a great stay here, the staff at the front desk were super helpful and friendly, the bar downstairs was really chill and I met loads of great people :) it was only 2 euros to store my suitcase after checkout and I was still able to chill around the bar/sit out of the front of the hostel in the sun and hang out with my friends who were still staying there! Will definitely be back :)

First time staying in his hostel, out of all the ones I’ve stayed in Berlin this one wins. Staff are so friendly and welcoming. All my roommates were really lovely too, don’t rely on finding people in bar go join or go out with as they are cliquey and stick with their groups, don’t be scared to do your own thing if you are a solo traveller! You are solo travelling for a reason…will return !

Good hostel overall. Hostel appears to draw in more of the indie/rogue type travellers. Rooms are a bit small although manageable nonetheless. Awesome little skatepark next to the hostel. Bar service can be quite slow at times however, with one of the staff members checking me in Saturday night not being very polite, which was unusual considering it was such a busy time. Would definitely go back

Good location, close to the metro and Berghain. Clean and good room, and nice people. Some weird people and some of the staff were a bit rude.

Amazing and helpful staff- great value and wonderful place to make friends. Centrally located in a great art district of Berlin, will definitely come back!

For the price, it was okay

Great hostel, I definitely recommend the slightly more expensive dormitories (only by a couple Euros!) as they are more comfortable and feel more secure. Overall, I had a lovely time! Lovely staff, lovely visitors, and the location right by Warschauer Straße was perfect. Thank you so much!

We had a great stay in the sunflower hostel.We are a family of four, with a 2- and a 7year old. Staying in a hostel, close to the party-district of Berlin, we were in advance not totally convinced about our choice, but now I would recommend it! The appartments were quiet, and a bit away from the dorms. they were spacious, and well equipped (only more glasses would have been nice). the location of the hostel is perfect, close to several public transport hubs. Perfect basis for discovering Berlin

Nice vibe and location, met some great people and cheap beer! The rest unfortunately underwhelming. Bathrooms were super dirty and one day non of the showers worked. Also no space to put clothes/toiletries in there. The bedrooms are simple with bunk beds and lockers. Firm and comfy mattress!

Just stayed here in a private room and it was great. Really affordable and amazing location. Staff are friendly and helpful, there are good facilities like laundry and the bar. The room and beds were super comfortable, only thing I will say is that the beds are creaky! But I definitely recommend to anyone coming to Berlin and I will stay here again ????
