Great hostel, a little far from downtown but close to a subway station. Bed does squeak but overall a good stay

We love the place, staff were so helpful. Around was clean and safe. I think it is over p/p.

Stayed in a three person room. The room and sheets were all pristine and the furniture was minimal but pleasant. The beds were extremely comfortable. Most importantly the rooms (at least mine) are well isolated with no sound from other rooms, the hall or the street.

C’était pas mal mais ce n’est pas super propre, ils n’organisent pas d’activités, les lits ne sont pas confortables. Le quartier n’est pas très beau non plus. Autrement l’ambiance est plutôt sympa.

Clean, quiet, comfy beds, cool bar and super nice staff. Close to public transportation and nightlife.

Loved the atmosphere and staff was kind but bathrooms and toilets could be cleaner. Also they provide a towel I appreciate that but there could be one hair dryer at least. Overall I would stay there again definitely ????

I had a great stay here, the staff at the front desk were super helpful and friendly, the bar downstairs was really chill and I met loads of great people :) it was only 2 euros to store my suitcase after checkout and I was still able to chill around the bar/sit out of the front of the hostel in the sun and hang out with my friends who were still staying there! Will definitely be back :)

First time staying in his hostel, out of all the ones I’ve stayed in Berlin this one wins. Staff are so friendly and welcoming. All my roommates were really lovely too, don’t rely on finding people in bar go join or go out with as they are cliquey and stick with their groups, don’t be scared to do your own thing if you are a solo traveller! You are solo travelling for a reason…will return !

Good hostel overall. Hostel appears to draw in more of the indie/rogue type travellers. Rooms are a bit small although manageable nonetheless. Awesome little skatepark next to the hostel. Bar service can be quite slow at times however, with one of the staff members checking me in Saturday night not being very polite, which was unusual considering it was such a busy time. Would definitely go back

Good location, close to the metro and Berghain. Clean and good room, and nice people. Some weird people and some of the staff were a bit rude.

Amazing and helpful staff- great value and wonderful place to make friends. Centrally located in a great art district of Berlin, will definitely come back!

Great hostel, I definitely recommend the slightly more expensive dormitories (only by a couple Euros!) as they are more comfortable and feel more secure. Overall, I had a lovely time! Lovely staff, lovely visitors, and the location right by Warschauer Straße was perfect. Thank you so much!

We had a great stay in the sunflower hostel.We are a family of four, with a 2- and a 7year old. Staying in a hostel, close to the party-district of Berlin, we were in advance not totally convinced about our choice, but now I would recommend it! The appartments were quiet, and a bit away from the dorms. they were spacious, and well equipped (only more glasses would have been nice). the location of the hostel is perfect, close to several public transport hubs. Perfect basis for discovering Berlin

Nice vibe and location, met some great people and cheap beer! The rest unfortunately underwhelming. Bathrooms were super dirty and one day non of the showers worked. Also no space to put clothes/toiletries in there. The bedrooms are simple with bunk beds and lockers. Firm and comfy mattress!

It was very nice to stay there, and had good lockers. The toilets and the showers could be cleaner. But would sleep there again.

Just stayed here in a private room and it was great. Really affordable and amazing location. Staff are friendly and helpful, there are good facilities like laundry and the bar. The room and beds were super comfortable, only thing I will say is that the beds are creaky! But I definitely recommend to anyone coming to Berlin and I will stay here again ????

Overall great experience. Met some really nice people. Great location. I would suggest to place some coat hooks in room. If it’s raining, you don’t really want to put your jacket in the under bed storage.

I have been to better hostels. First impression not very clean. The facilities seem quite dated. I only stayed for 1 night. Staff were helpful though. I didn’t sleep that well, the beds could be more comfortable. Overall, it was an average stay but I had been to an excellent hostel in comparison and in the days prior to this stay.

great value. needs some work on the facility but everything is good for the low price. one of the better options in Berlin - especially to see the east wall gallery

Had a wonderful stay at Sunflower. Staff are the absolute friendliest, they are extremely helpful and attentive to detail. The quality of the beds and showers/bathroom are incredible and you pay a very low price anyway. 10/10 will come back next time I'm Berlin.

My stay was better than anything I could ask for!! The staff is so sweet, the atmosphere is so friendly. It's unlike anything ive experienced before, I made so many friends and had such a lovely time

Get what you pay for, the place is clean and pretty central for the east- super close to nightlife but about half hour from sightseeing things

We found the location tricky, there is a complex of shops near by but not much in the area as far as bakery or coffee places go. It’s about a 30-40min walk into the city centre. We had a private double room which was super clean and comfortable. The shared bathroom was clean enough and the showers were decent size. The lady that checked us in was lovely but the staff in general were a bit hostile (maybe because we could only speak and understand English).

Wonderful stay, helpful staff. Great central location close to clubs but in a quieter area.

I had a great stay at this hostel! The rooms were nice and clean, and the restrooms were well-maintained. The bar had a great atmosphere, and the overall location was very convenient. However, the only downside was the storage policy. Not everyone arrives exactly at check-in time, and many travelers have early morning flights, so better storage options would be helpful. Other than that, everything was great! I would rate them 8 out of 10.

So far so good, fits well for solo travelers with a tiny budget, rooms are OK, But kitchen tools are really Old And limited ( no microwave). Service friendly But Not much activities in the lobby. After all recommended

Very clean and social hostel. Overall enjoyed my stay.

The staff is nice. But the room smelled like sour weed and was very poorly poorly lit up with a weird atmosphere. The bathrooms were very dirty and you could hear everything from inside the room. The whole vibe around the rooms and bathrooms was weird and uncomfortable. I don't recommend.

I've stayed in so many hostels in Berlin over the years, but never made it here until now. Quite good value considering how close it is to Ostbahnhof, the Wall, many famous clubs and the Kreuzberg area. It's a bit of a party hostel, but I slept well. The beds are very comfortable and the only negative I picked up on was the squeaky bed frames. Bring ear plugs and you'll be fine!

Nice affordable hostel, just 5 minutes walk from Warschauer station. A 6€ refundable deposit is required for bed linen and padlocks. A small kitchen is also available, if you want to cook, in addition to the microwave and kettle at the reception. You have to ask for it! Paid lockers facility is available too. There is a bar at the reception area with seating arrangements. Washing machines are also available. The hostel has a nice retro look. I found toilets clean.

great hostel! loads of nice people around and lovely staff. most clean bathrooms i’ve ever seen at a hostel. also the most sunny days in berlin ever so that was a plus as well. will definitely stay again!

My online complaint is the bathrooms: they were really small, generally not that clean and there weren’t enough for the amount of rooms (and people) that are inside the hostel. I would book it again!

Decent stay in a good area, a bit far from the city centre tho where the attractions mostly are situated.

It was a really good stay! It‘s a hostel with a really nice vibe and a good location. It‘s offers a good price-performance ratio and the staff is friendly.

It’s a pretty good place, very close to the station and easy to access various locations. The only downside is that you need to rent a lock for security, but other than that, I can’t complain at all.

5min walk from berghain!! everything else about the hostel was just ok. there were no hand soap in any bathrooms which is very unsanitary considering no one is washing their hands and touching different surfaces. there are no pillows but a bed sheet filled with thin comforter you’d have to fold into a pillow. complimentary neck pain for everyone. i honestly wouldn’t be back. i was stuck with an older man in a 4bed room and it was just us so i couldn’t sleep all night fearing for my safety.

Honestly didn’t really enjoy my stay here. Showers and bathrooms not clean and always taken. Staff are nice, some of them at least. Beds are so uncomfortable and make the worst noise even if somebody moves even the slightest bit. Quite far from city center but only 10-15 minutes walk from tram and metro. Nearby Italian restaurant is a must try if you stay here, they have the best tiramisu I’ve had. Wouldn’t stay here again though.

Loved this place. It’s so fun. I was planning to stay half of my trip here and half at another hostel in the city, but I cancelled the other hostel in favor of spending more time at Sunflower instead. Best decision ever. 24/7 bar (except breakfast), always some people to talk to, amazing location and also quiet as it’s not on a main street. It is a bit rustic and I don’t disagree with any of the other reviews here (loud beds, have to make your own bed, etc), but these weren’t an issue at all (everything felt very clean as well) and it’s wayyyy worth it for the culture and vibes of the place. It’s so alive even in February, and the staff are just wonderful ???? I absolutely plan to stay here again!
