Sunflower Hostel

the rave music at 8am was crazy to wake up to rooms could probably do with a hoover otherwise really great stay and great party atmosphere

We had an amazing time at the Sunflower hostel. And shout out to the super nice Anastasia who prepared our room before our arrival. 100% recommand

From the moment we arrived we felt very unwelcome and very rude staff, particularly the man on the night shift. Very judgy atmosphere with strong distain for young girls

Personnel accueillant et souriant. Idéalement placée 5' Sbahn, U bahn, supérette. Très propre. Petit déjeuner copieux. Je conseille à 200%. Pas venu à Berlin depuis quelques années, a ensoleillé mon sejour.

a solid option, quite cheap. I think this hostel's biggest advantage is being so close to Berghain. What was surprising, it wasn't that noisy, even though it's so close to the club. The room, toilets, bathrooms and security are okay.

capsule is great! Location is so so, everywhere Graffiti and dirty looking neighborhood. Staff are friendly and efficient. Facility work fine.

It's just not my tipe of hostels.

I cannot remember her name, but the DnB girl that starts at 0700am made my stay. Lovely crowd, great staff, small enough to feel very welcoming

We had a private room, it was clean, the windows when closed blocked off all the noise from the street and the employees were incredibly helpful and nice. We had accidentaly booked for the wrong date and they were kind enough to get us the same room at an earlier date for check-in

Perfect hostel if you are visiting Berlin for its club scene. Had nice big lockers, spacious rooms, and a cool common area with a bar. It’s about 3 mins away from a station and around the corner from an Aldi which is super convenient. Only downsides were the lack of socialising between groups and the bizarre men that linger around the outside.

Had a great stay at sunflower! Really great amenities and overall a good location, just a small walk to restaurants/shops/etc. I want to shout out the staff, who were awesome. I had an issue with another guest and they handled it immediately and made sure I was ok. I felt really looked after and it went a long way in making me feel better about the situation. Nice social atmosphere too!

Soggiorno fantastico tutto bene accoglienza squisita. Non é vicinissimo alla Porta di Brandeburgo e al Reichstag ma per il resto tutto perfetto. Grazie ancora per tutto

Nice hostel, a bit far from the center, but nice atmosphere inside the hostel

Fantastic hostel, rooms were clean and it's about a 5 minute walk from a train station. It's got a great bar and we loved our stay. Would definitely book again.

We stayed in the pods which were ok. If the door was fully shut I felt stuffy so I slept with the door partially open. The lights in the pod rooms are also automatic so whenever someone moves in the middle of the night to go to the washroom of come back the whole room lights up which leaks into your pod even if it’s fully closed.

la propiedad tiene buena relación calidad precio :) , pero las cápsulas individuales tienen mala ventilación :(

room was loud and smokey from the people out front of the hostel 24/7. Great place if you came to party tho

it feels like the rooms haven't seen a cleaning for months - it's very disgusting and unpleasant, also during summer the rooms become unbearable as they don't have fans or A/C and ventilation is awful. the staff is very weird, especially the men working at this hostel are very predator towards women solo travelling and it is a very uncomfortable behaviour. the location is super nice with a lot of vegan options around, but the hostel is very off

This hostel did not live up to expectations. Staff were super rude and seemed very irritated by the guests constantly. There are only 2 showers per gender on each floor of 20 ish rooms. On my floor the showers were just open, not lockable with no private cubicle to change in. The hostel overall was not very clean, bathrooms were kinda gross, same with the rooms and common areas. My sheets had stains and the towels smelled weird. The only good things were the breakfast and laundry machines

Staff were friendly and nice to speak with. However, the hostel is mainly used by people going to clubs so expect significant noise and crashing around from other guests early in the morning. If you want to sleep at night time this is probably not the hostel for you. Bed was comfy but the pillow is appalling. We have an en-suite shower which was powerful, the communal toilet was ok but could do with a more regular clean. Whilst accessible to the train station, I would not stay here again.

Ich bin es nicht gewohnt mit so vielen Geräuschen und so vielen Menschen in einem Raum zu schlafen. Auf dem Fluchtplan im Zimmer 301 wurden die Zimmernummern vertauscht, bitte korrigieren.

Not good I don’t recommend at all, luckily a change of plans meant I had to check out early. Place stank, not enough bathrooms, very loud. Only decent thing is that it’s near a train station so it was easy to get to from the airport as I arrived late at night. Also the pillow isn’t a normal sized pillow, it’s very small and flat, it’s terrible and hurt my neck.

We had a good time at the Sunflower Hostel but the main takeaway is that this is a hostel used by people going to the local clubs which results in people being very loud as they return in the early hours. The showers are borderline communal with only a translucent screen between you and everyone with very little private space, if you are in a shared room you will have to be getting changed in front of people! The staff were very friendly and the bar downstairs had cheap beerand a good atmosphere

Always the best in Berlin

10/10 stay. I had such a great time at Sunflower, the vibes were amazing and it was very easy to socialize. I had a double capsule and it was very comfortable, the facilities were good as well. The hostel is very well located. I can only recommend this place !

Amazing spot. Bar is lovely and chill, everyone is always mingling! Beds are comfy and clean, bathrooms are modern and spotless. Kitchen access granted on request. Could not recommend it higher!

Marianthi at the bar was amazing!! I really appreciate people such as her in the hostel environment. Thank you for the good drinks :) Met very lovely people in the room as well, would stay again. Was very pleasantly surprised to have a balcony in the room. But room could be a little bit less dusty

The beds in the room where I stayed in where SO loud. I couldn‘t move all night because if I did, the whole room would’ve been awake. They’re wooden bunk beds and I still can’t get over the amount noise of them. The staff was nice, with some of them you could sit outside in the evening and have a nice chat. You can lock your luggage in a locker for 2€ before check in and in your room too but for free (don’t forget your own lock) The bar is open till the morning and the common area was okay.

I stayed at this hostel for two nights and had a very positive experience. It’s an excellent place if you’re looking for a calm and secure environment to rest. The atmosphere felt safe at all times, which made it easy to relax and sleep well. The location is one of the biggest advantages — it’s right in the middle of the city, literally within walking distance of everything you might need, including shops, restaurants, and public transport. The staff were friendly, helpful, and professional. They speak both German and very good English, which made communication easy and comfortable. The rooms and capsules are well-designed and secure. I felt confident leaving my belongings there without worry. Everything was clean and well-organized, which added to the overall comfort of my stay. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone looking for a safe, central, and comfortable place to stay

First since i was inside the staffs were been racists,ignorant and disrespectful. The first nights stay with the quacking sound from the bed resulted in the bed on the top broken and fallen down. I could not move or sleep in the bed.

Great hostel! Nice facilities and super safe security wise. Decent opportunities for socialising and super close to the ALDI too. The surrounding area is very hippie alternative culture and great young demographic, it’s a bit far from the centre of the city but the walk is pretty decent!

My friend and I stayed 7 nights and had a wonderful time. The staff were friendly, the beers were very reasonably priced, and the hostel is in one of the best locations. Very close walk to East Side Gallery, Holzmarkt 25, tons of great restaurants, bars, and clubs. My only complaint is that our room was not well ventilated! I have a very sensitive respiratory system and every night when we came back, I would quickly become very congested. It’s possible I was allergic to something, who knows!

Good hostel, but harder as a solo traveller to meet people but still doable with a bit of luck. Great location for clubbing and easy access via S and U bahn to many places. Would stay again but maybe with some mates.

This is a cool hostel to stay in, if you are looking fir chill and social vibes! The location is awesome. My bed was comfy and the room was clean. Breakfast was also affordable and good. Only downside were the bathrooms - there aren’t quite enough showers and toilets for the amount of people, but wasn’t that big of a deal for me. Would recommend this place!

Gemütliches Hostel in bester zentraler Lage mit sympathischen Personal. Unser Zimmer war gemütlich und sauber. Gerne kommen wir bald einmal wieder. :)

It is very easy to meet cool and interesting people in this hostel. The bar is good. The location is very very good if you are interesting in the Berlin club culture. The hostel looks cool and has good beds, showers, and laundry machines.

My friends and I really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were friendly, the price was great and everywhere was clean, bathrooms, hallways etc. It was also nice having a bar on the premises. The pods we stayed in were really cool. Its nice to have your own space & the double bed was nice and roomy for one person. The local area is pretty lively with lots of food options. I would recommend Sunflower Hostel to friends

Capsules are very spacious and convenient for solo travelling. Quite limited bathrooms with a lot of people sharing, meant sometimes they didn’t feel super clean, BUT they were cleaned each day and to a very high standard, which was great!

Worth it 100%

Staff are unfriendly, when we checked in the guy on the desk just shoved a bit of paper at us to sign without even looking up. There are nowhere near enough bathrooms for the amount of people and you often had three or four people waiting for one bathroom. The WiFi doesn’t work anywhere in the building and one of our duvet covers had stains on. Save your money, find somewhere else.

Great hostel with nice guest, very well acoustically isolated and very secure

I feel like the staff sometimes was annoyed and impatient towards me, like they didn't quite enjoy their job. The wifi was very bad except in the lobby/lounge. The kitchen was very well equipped with a refrigerator, dishes and a cooker that you can use. In the evenings I sometimes had to wait for a bathroom to be available but never too long. As for the bedroom, there were lockers stacked upon each other and unfortunately we had the top one which was quite hard to reach (I'm 165 or 5'5)

Wir hatten zu dritt ein Zimmer mit eigenem Bad, da war alles top. Gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Sehr gute Lage, v.a. Wenn man Veranstaltungen in der Uber Arena besucht, aber auch nah an S-Bahn und Tram. Die Gemeinschaftsbereiche waren nicht so einladend, zumindest nicht für unseren Geschmack. Aber sonst hat alles gepasst.
