Lollis Homestay Hostel

Fue una estancia buena, en su mayoría agradable. Nos encantó el evento de cena gratuita de los miércoles y también destacar las bicis gratuitas. La ubicación es lejana al centro de Dresde pero está bien para darse una vuelta por el barrio de Neustadt y sus casas pintorescas Lo único que no me gustó demasiado fue una persona en específico que nos atendió la mayor parte del tiempo, porque parecía que iba fumado. Eso y que los pasillos del piso 1 eran bastante tétricos, no daban mucha confianza.

Honestly in my top 2 favourite hostels of all time, do not hesitate to stay here! All the staff on reception are incredibly friendly and very helpful with requests/recs etc. Additionally, there are 3-4 volunteers who put on regular events almost every night such as a pub crawl, free homemade meal, days trips which is really great for solo travellers especially to meet fellow travellers and creates a very homely hostel vibe. The area is quite alternative with many cute cafes and 2nd stores.

Very much enjoyed my stay at the hostel and the vibe is great. Also a lot of solo travelers when I was there.

On arrival (way too early) we were welcomed in the most kind way. Helpful, friendly, and we even arranged everything with check in despite that our room wasn’t available yet. We booked the double room and that was absolutely fine. Good bed, clean sheets upon arrival, and the room was clean too. Shared bathroom is no problem. It’s not new, but it’s clean. And everything works. You are in an area that is very lively at night, donut can be noisy till late. Not something the hostel can do anything about. We experienced it as a great area of town. Very vibrant and you could easily spend your day looking at art and talking to locals.

Hostel is in a nice location. Also nice staff. Bed was a bit hard though and with the heat and only one fan for the whole room it was not the best night of sleep. But the rest was good :)

Excellent experience at this hostel. Friendly and helpful staff greeted me on arrival and that’s the way it stayed throughout. I liked the activities - a local festival, free (basic) dinner and full range of breakfast, extra charge but it was good value. The hostel is located in the centre of the new town, close to bars, restaurants and alternative shops, but a walk from the train station so get a tram/ taxi if travelling with heavy luggage. I liked the homemade information flyers in English.

Loved it here! The staff are amazing, the common areas and rooms are nice and clean, location is perfect. They held events all but one night I stayed which made it very easy to meet people, and the atmosphere was very friendly and social in general whilst I was there.

This hostel was so fun and a good deal, and it made me wish I spent more time in Dresden. The beds were comfortable, though mine was particularly creaky (the other ones in my room seemed to be fine not sure what was wrong with mine). My bag did not fit in the lockers, but I just put my valuables in there and there was plenty of space for my bag in the room. We had 6 bed female room and there was a balcony and also a table with chairs. There was 1 bathroom (1 toilet 1 sink 1 shower and 1 bath) for three rooms, which somehow was never an issue but I could see it being difficult if a lot of people need to use it at once - there were extra facilities on another floor but that’s not ideal. The hostel common room is so cute and feels lived in, I met a bunch of people going to the hostel activity one night and we hung out again the next day. There is a budget grocery very close to the hostel and it is easily to use their cooking facilities. I wish I could have spent more time here as I am so used to sterile gray hostels trying to be hotels, but this felt comfortable and homey. There are bars and food nearby, but it’s a long walk or a tram/bus ride to get to the main tourist attraction area.
