Great place in an amazing location in a beautiful city

Cool bar downstairs - that is also Open to the public which negates some of the hostel atmosphere a bit. Breakfast is available for a fee (kinda expensive — €12), breads and cereal, pretty basic. Beds clean, already made. Big lockers. Clientele kinda strange - one of the dudes in my room invited his girlfriend in multiple times — hostels should have a no outsides policy..? Especially in the rooms. Showers okay, private enough. Great location, in the funky Neustadt. 20 min walk to old town.

The experience was good but the only thing I would suggest is that you pleaseee keep the heaters on for a longer time. Unfortunately, it was very cold most of the time because turning them on only a few times a day was definitely not enough ????.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Hostel! Recommended if you want a place to stay at Dresden.

Felt very safe as a solo female knowing there’s 24/7 reception and that the hostel’s in a lively area. Good location for those who enjoy “alternative” districts and living a little further away (~20min door-to-door from hostel to Zwinger) from touristy areas. Bedrooms were clean and everything functioned. Floor 1 shower sinks seemed to have some mould issues but generally clean; some WCs had some ventilation issues. Staff’s very friendly and helpful. Would recommend if in Dresden for a few days!

had such an amazing time staying at mondpalast! the staff is super cool and always ready to help or just have a nice chat. also shoutout to the german girl who’s volunteering there, she’s lovely! love the free tea and coffee and how clean and comfortable everything is and having a bar on sight is so handy to get the night started! will definitely be back, specially in the summer when there’s more travelers and more people to socialize with!

I would say the best hostel I have been to, really clean, kitchen spacious and great atmosphere

Lovely staff, great vibes in the common area (there was a pub quiz on the day we arrived, and a list of all shows and concerts in the area pinned to the wall). Made me want to stay longer in the city - there were so many ideas for traveling in the area available. The room felt safe, and the facilities were clean and tidy.

Super clean hostel. A bit far from the main sights, but fair for the price. Great restaurants and bars nearby.

Great Hostel in a gem of a city, staff are excellent

Its a good place in dresden neudstat which is the more culturally part of dresden ig. Staff were wonderful. I dint remember her name but she had glasses and red hair, she was so incredibly kind and welcoming. I was prob a bit unlucky with my mates, prob because of low season. Not really any social people. NOT the hostels fault at all though! It hosted for locals to come which made me feel its more a stay for locals than internationals tbh. overall good, decent facilities in form of shower wc!

Es antiguo, el piso rechina demasiado, no tiene elevador, debes subir las maletas por las escaleras, la cocina estaba muy sucia. El desayuno fue bueno y el staff igual

I had a great stay at the hostel and it is in an ideal location in Neustadt. Special thanks to the night staff. I believe it was Yuci, the Finnish guy, who was very helpful when I had a bit of a bad stomach bug...

Amazing hostel with friendly staff. The rooms were nice and the beds and blankets very comfortable. The Wi-Fi was an issue during my stay, it wasn’t really working in my room or even in the downstairs lobby/lounge area. Other travelers had this issue, but everything else was great.

Allô Je ne peux pas répondre. J'ai alors mis Moyen pour les items précédents. Il y a eu une erreur de la part de l'hostel et j'ai dû être relocalisée à LollisStay. C'était une déception parce que j'aurais aimé avoir ce que j'ai choisi. Mais ils ont réagi rapidement et avec compréhension dès qu'ils ont vu l'erreur. Somme toute, ça ne devrait pas arriver.

Amazing hostel, I only stayed 2 nights but wish I had a week! Really nice space, comfy room and bed, good facilities, really great staff, nice location… one of my favourite hostel experiences I’ve had!

The rooms are clean and tidy, the location is quite convenient, and the kitchen is decent enough to cook anything you might need! I especially appreciated Fabian's work, quite a nice and welcoming a nice person! I would absolutely come back!

So good for a hostel. Spacious rooms. Bunk beds are bigger than usual. Sheets and linens are clean. Bathrooms and toilets are clean, and always refurbished with hand soap and toilet paper. There's free tea and coffee 24/7. Staff speak English. Everyone is respectful, polite, and helpful. Wonderful place to socialize. However, almost everyone smokes in Neustadt. If you're not ok with smoke, this might not be the best place. The hostel and the staff gave a fantastic experience altogether :)

Ich hatte einen ganz tollen Aufenthalt! Die Mitarbeiter*innen waren absolut zuvorkommend und freundlich & die Lage ist wirklich optimal. Die Neustadt hat sehr viel zu bieten und auch die restlichen Sehenswürdigkeiten konnte man fußläufig erreichen.

Fantastic hostel. They put on events which makes it easy to meet people. The rooms are nice. The neighborhood is also full of restaurants and bars so every night there is something great to do.

The rooms were very solid with good beds(even double beds no creeking) the place is very close to the center of dresden with lots of bars and restaurants to eat and drink. I personally travel by car and could find parking within 250meter from the hostel for 6€ for 24 hour(weekends free i believe) besides toilets and showers were clean. To make it short a good hostel ill add a view photos with view from room and room itself

Mi sono trovata molto bene, l'atmosfera era super rilassata nel bar all'ingresso e ho apprezzato molto il caffè gratis. Unica nota negativa: non c'era disponibilità di camerate femminili quando ho prenotato e non c'è limite d'età, quindi mi sono ritrovata in una stanza con solo uomini anche in là con l'età e non è stato affatto piacevole, viaggiatrici solitarie attente. Non è una colpa dell'ostello ovviamente, ma è giusto farlo presente :)

Perfect spot with great atmosphere. Friendly and easy going staff, great drinks. The kitchen has everything you need to make your own food, the shower is even better than the one at home and there is always tea/coffee/someone to chat or a suggestion for the indecisive.

The dorms in this hostel are one of the nicer ones I’ve been to - far different from the grey/sterile look of the beds in some other places. Even has has a small balcony for you to look out over the street and get some fresh air. The shower stalls are kept clean, don’t leak, and is heated up fast when you need it to. Karina at reception was a big help when I lost access to my phone and helped work me through getting to my next destination. Thanks again!

This was a great hostel right in the center of the bar and club scene which was so nice. The staff is super helpful and there are many resources informing you of the things to do in the area

Su ubicación es buena si bien no está en el centro está muy cerca, yo rente una bici con ellos por tan solo 10€ por todo el día y fue la mejor decisión. la limpieza es muy buena las camas cómodas y lo mejor es que tienes WC y ducha dentro de la habitación. En conclusión lo recomiendo al 100

Everything was great, no critique, within 20-30 minutes of the main train station via the tram. Fabulous workers, very kind, clear facilities, etc… For any of the plus sized girlies the showers were a squeeze to get into, but doable and roomy after you get in. (American size 26/28 for reference). Very vibrant neighborhood. Staff speaks English and German well. I stayed in the women only rooms and everything made me feel safe as a solo female traveler. Just bring some cash with you to put down deposits on the key card and a lock if want to use theirs.

Sehr cooles Hostel mit schöner Einrichtung in den Bädern und Zimmern. Die Location ist super und die Mitarbeitenden voll freundlich. Handtücher inklusive wären schön, gibts aber leider nicht.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hostel! The rooms were comfy, staff friendly. They had free tea, coffee and milk (always the best!). Good kitchen! the negative was the many school groups, they could be quite loud in their rooms and take alot of space. The €12 breakfast is too expensive - there are a lot of inclusions but not worth €12. And the door to reception (from the rooms) required your card or you had to leave out the side and circle around. But overall nice hostel, would stay again.

It's a party hostel and as such will appeal to young people willing to socialize and enjoy the joyful atmosphere of the neighborhood (the alternative district of the town). Unfortunately sleeping isn't very pleasant, doors are massive and keep slamming at every hour so be prepared to be woken up in the mid of the night by just about anyone enters the room. No elevator but thay wasn't a biggie, good kitchen equipped with what u need for a short stay.

Great place. Would be even better if a microwave is added in the kitchen
