Well equipped kitchen includes salt and oil. Big lockers (take your lock!). Very beautiful facilities. (I visited almost every, just to take a look.) Bar at the ground floor doesn't bother on the second one, however I'm not sure about the first floor. Big room to store luggage before check in and after check out. It is located in Neustadt, the most interesting region of the city after historical center. Takes the second place out of four hostels in Dresden where I have stayed
They don't return city tax, if you book through booking. They don't count that money if you extend your stay, even if they promise to do it (as it happened to me). Church somewhere nearby may wake you up. Also microwave with oven was disappointing as oven (still fine as microwave).

The hostel was quite old and didn't look as elegant as it did in the photos. It didn't have an elevator, so I had to carry my luggage to the second floor. The beds were old and squeaky. The shower on the 2nd floor was closed and there was a notice on the door to go to the 1st floor for shower. The room wasn't cleaned properly, and there was dirt on the terrace. Also, the nearest tram station (Louisenstraße) wasn't very close to the hostel.

Overall the place was very welcoming and friendly, the only downsides being that it can be very loud at night due to the hostel’s location and thin windows. I would stay there again.

very cool hostel, but location isn’t great. about half an hour away from the hbf, and a bit of a walk at that. but the dorms were nice and bathrooms were clean, and the staff was friendly enough.

Definitely one of the best hostels I have ever stayed in. Not only good location, hygiene, facility, and staff, but the experience is also really amazing and the people I've slept with are so nice. It's a must if you go to Dresden and it's also very affordable.

Me encanto el espacio de las areas comunes, la cocina limpia y ordenada, sillones al aire libre, muchisimas mesas. Tenia velador y enchufe junto a la cama y un casillero espacioso, eso perfecto, ademas las habitaciones muy espaciosas y los camarotes no sonaban nada. Tenia un baño con ducha en la habitacion, y además en el mismo piso tenia baños y duchas extras (fuera de las habitaciones), ah! Y habia baño en la zona del bar. ME ENCANTO que en la cocina tenian un espacio designado para poner cosas "FREE" entonces no sw bota la comida a la basura si uno ya se va o no la quiere, muy muy bueno. Además, tenia cafesito y tecito a disposicion todo el dia ????
No se me ocurre nada, para la gente mas exigente quizas seria bueno poner una cortina en los camarotes, y quizas las almohadas podrian estar mejores, pero para mi todo perfecto, muchisimo mejor que varios hostales.

I loved my stay at Hostel Mondpalast! Probably one of the best hostels I’ve stayed in. The staff are lovely and the atmosphere is incredible. Also, loved the location as it’s near many cafes, bars and restaurants.

What an amazing place!!!!! We were only in Dresden for one day, but wished we could have stayed at the Moon Palace longer. Our tour got cancelled on us but the staff at the front desk helped us with so many recommendations of where to walk and what to go see. Basically planned our day with us. We really appreciate the staff and how much work they put into this hostel!

Really enjoyed this hostel. Everything was great. Super friendly staff (especially Claudia), and the rooms were spacious and clean. A little far from the city center but there is lots of public transportation so not a huge deal. Definitely would recommend.

i loved this hostel!! the staff was so kind and welcoming. they provided me with a list of places to go and meet people as a solo traveller and we’re always so friendly! the hostel bar is also a lively place for the area. the strip of bars is so so fun and it feels like such a nice safe area. the only downside was sharing a room with older men as a solo female traveller, next time i would just choose a female dorm. highly recommend this place

Insgesamt gut, was man für den Preis erhält. Besonders hervorzuheben is das umfangreiche und leckere Frühstück. Leider waren die Duschen nicht sehr sauber und nicht mehr in bestem Zustand.
