Hostel Mondpalast

in meinen Augen, ein in sehr sympathischer Hostel????

Decent hostel, could use a common area appart from the bar. The room I cheked into was disgustingly filty and the men were bit creepy, but the guy at reception was very helpful and understanding and was able to switch me to a female dorm which is nice, but it makes me wonder how they can allow guests to trash the room like that and then let a young women check into it. Overall it's a pretty nice hostel but nothing outstanding.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft, süße Atmosphäre und freundliches Personal

It was my first time in Dresden and I didn't know anyone. I always wanted to visit this city because of its history and because it was the second city in DDR. For many years it was closed to the world. When I arrived in Mondpalast everything was simple, a lass from Asia helped me with check-in and also helped me to find a place to repair my ol' watch. In the afternoon the receptionist was a beautiful lady. We started talking in German, but then I was surprised with the fact that she was from my own country, Brazil. Karina was gentle, very helpful and always with a good humour. A lass from Australia and a guy were also helpful. The Aussie girl with blue hair (Nick I think) helped me with taxi when I left the hostel. She and Karina are joys of the hostel, please keep them! There were meetings in the hostel lobby, people share their food and I had quite sociable room mates. The place is basically in city centre, so you can reach most of the city quickly. It was one of my best experiences in a hostel in Europe and considering the price I can only leave my positive review and my warm wishes of a happy New Year to everyone!
