Hostel Mondpalast

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the hostel.

Absolutely gorgeous hostel, one of the best I stayed in throughout Europe. Amazing showers (like hotels!), great cleanliness, great location, and spaces feel really big. It is in a great location for food, pubs, and other things to see. I can't make comments on how social it was because I went with my friend and we were pretty anti-social, but the bar and common rooms seemed super conducive to meeting people. +Thank you staff for putting my friend and I together in the same room!

The check-in staff were efficient and friendly. The rooms have big lockers. The beds comfy enough but unfortunately no privacy curtains. I was on the 1st floor and there was a mixed and single female bathrooms, separate male and female showers. A nice kitchen and bar at the entrance downstairs. Everything was clean. The location was perfect for me as a have my bike and cycled everywhere...old town, the city, the river, and just wandered. I always felt safe. Definitely a place to stay.

It was a very good hostel with good dorms and security. The staff were very welcoming and eager to help.

Courteous and efficient staff. Rooms, beds, bathrooms, toilets very clean. Plenty of outlets plus individual lamps at bedside. Sadly no privacy curtains for beds. Very roomy individual lockers. No elevator so if you can't climb 30 steps to 1st floor, see another location. Nice sized bar/ breakfast area and a small kitchen for guests Lots of families with small children when I was there but we'll behaved. Excellent location as I rode my bike everywhere. Plenty of food places, bars, bakeries.

I stayed at the hostel during Easter 2025 and would like to thank James for his responsiveness, kindness, and support throughout my stay! I’m really glad I had the chance to meet such a pleasant person. As for the hostel itself, I was pleasantly impressed by the level of service (24/7 reception, a well-equipped and comfortable kitchen, bike rentals, a bar, and a cozy outdoor terrace), the cleanliness of all shared areas, and the tasty, nutritious breakfasts. We booked a 6 beds shared room. The service was quite helpful and easy to contact. The rooms and toilets were clean and comfortable. The location is central, you can find supermarkets and transportation 2 streets away, and several restaurants and bars around the street.

Super clean, great location, felt safe, nice staff, free coffee and tea - Honestly one of the best hostels I've stayed in! Wifi a bit tricky, which I think is a must-have when travelling without data... but maybe this was a fluke and otherwise I HIGHLY recommend this place.

The doors are tough to not bang every time you leave your dorm but otherwise very nice hostel! The staff is nice, the hostel has theme nights like karaoke opened to the public which makes it even easier to meet people. The atmosphere in the bar and dorms is really nice. The staff is there 24/7 too. The luggage room is nice to have if you are too soon for checking in.

Ich hab am billigste Zimmer gebucht, aber Zimmer war sehr gut ganz ganz sauber Mitarbeiter sehr nett Duschtoilette. Alle sind neu renoviert. Ich empfehle für jeden

What a beautiful hostel and nice vibe. We have been here several times already and it has never dissapointed us. It is clean, comfortable, well taken care of, and organizes nice events in the bar. We will be back!

Wanted to thank you for the amazing and warm atmosphere! The place felt so homey and welcoming. A special thanks to the staff for being so responsive over email and for happily assisting me, even during my late-night check-in. I truly appreciated it and hope to come back one day!

Beautiful place to be. Mostly very clean and also very central to where the nightlife is going on.

Prima Lage in der Neustadt. Nah an der Elbe und viele Kneipen rundherum.

Finally a hostel without a "pink tax"! Stayed in an all-women's dorm that charges exactly the same price as other dorm beds. But that's not the only thing that Mondpalast got right: rooms were clean, nice showers, service super friendly, top location in a great neighborhood, and free all you can drink coffee and tea. My only criticism would be that I found it rather noisy (maybe the downside of the great location in the middle of Neustadt) and the toilets smelled like someone had smoked in there. Just as something to watch out for if that's an issue for you. Apart from that, definitely recommend for a stay in Dresden, and would come back.

Es ist ein freundliches Hostel mit aufmerksamen freundlichen Personal. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist gut. Nur ist es etwas hellhörig, was man morgens ab ca6:30 zu spüren bekommt Ich werde wiederkommen
