Wombats City Hostel

The floor in the room is dirty and no one cleans apparently. Remember to bring your own slippers. I didnt get enough sleep everyday and theres no curtain and shampoo provided.

Quite noisy at night, noise came from outside and one day from the dorm

Can have more options in the breakfast buffet. Also, a few of the lockers in the rooms weren't locking. Anyone could open a few of them with some taps.

People coming in at all hours, beds being made at 1.30am above me, no chance of sleep. Having to pay for a towel. Lockers much too small

Very low quality wifi. I had to use my data at the hostel.

I got very little sleep on night 1 zero sleep on my second night due to a girl in my dorm unpacking and repacking all of her things at 5am and shining the torch on her phone directly in my face, a group of American boys shouting and running in the corridors between 2am and 4am, and there were also two people in my dorm who made a great deal of noise by coughing and getting up frequently in the night. I appreciate that this is a hostel, but a lot of these issues could be mitigated by having curtains or a screen fitted to each bunk, as I understand is common practice from my many other hostel stays. There was also a dirty towel in the bathroom.

The bunkbeds provide no privacy at all. Adding curtains would improve this a lot. Also provides light blocking, which is a must have when sharing room with other people. It feels weird to have to make my bed and unmake it when leaving, also having to drop the bedsheet at the reception. If someone is carrying a lot of luggage, they might have a hard time.

The receptionist was rude and I wouldn't be coming back

The beds were creaky and felt unstable. The bathroom had a leak, so the floor was constantly drenched. It was very cramped as well.

There was no wifi in the rooms , and when I asked at reception I was told ‘yes, it doesn’t work higher up’. Also, it took about 5mins of running the shower before it turned lukewarm and then hot

The facilities

Die Spannbettlaken sind etwas zu klein für die Matratze und man muss sie schon sehr straff spannen um sie darüber zu bekommen, was im Dunkeln, während andere schlafen wollen eine Herausforderung ist.

The matress of my bed was not ok. Apart from that, nothing to complain
