The Circus Hostel

Everything is great. The elevator is a little slow. But that's just nitpicking. The hostel is amazing.

Bathrooms were a little small and were unisex

Parkplätze sind vorhanden aber etwas entfernt. Wäre gut im Vorfeld darauf hinzuweisen + Ein Bett hat geknartscht weil es nicht richtig angeschraubt war

Since the location is quite central, there is a lot of noise from outside, so you can never sleep uninterrupted. There is a lot of noise from public transportation etc. outside. There were not many tourists (maybe because of the time I went there, I always came across local people). If socialization is important to you, you can take this into consideration. Also there is two usb cables in the bed but they both not working and there is no socket in the beds.

Mostly teen agers making noise in the night and smoking weed, if that's okay. It's a fine place to stay while in Berlin. But be wary of the partying, the continuous smell of weed and constant door slamming in the hallway.

Zu laut. Habe nicht geschlafen. Konnte dann ins Hotel wechseln. Den Aufpreis zu zahlen stimmte für mich aber nicht wirklich. Habe ja das Hostel gewählt um weniger zu zahlen

Vi anlände tidigt till Berlin å hade hoppats på att kunna checka in lite tidigare än utsatt tid. Rummet var först färdigställt 15 min efter utsatt tid.

No AC or fans. Often people kept the windows open to get some cool air and it's noisy. Didn't really like the bathrooms.

Del Hostal, en sí, nada me disgustó. Pero hay cosas que tener en cuenta. Primero, da a una calle un poco ruidosa (nada del otro mundo). Lo segundo, es que pareciera que mucho de los huéspedes usan este hostal como dormitorio después de ir a Fiestas (normal). Pero un día llego una persona demasiado drogada al hostal, golpeando nuestras puertas y metiendo mucho ruido buscando “algo”. Evidentemente estaba bajo los efectos de la cocaína. PERO DEL HOSTAL TODO ME ENCANTÓ. LO ANTERIOR LO COMENTO PARA QUE TOMEN SUS PREOCUPACIONES AQUÍ O EN OTRO LADO DE BERLÍN.

The showers were old and somewhat dirty

My only real criticisms of the hostel were that the USB chargers only allow a very low current meaning the only viable way to use the USB ports is to charge your devices overnight. This was easily solved by using a EU plug socket adaptor which allowed me to charge my phone much quicker. You are also required to bring your own lock for the item lockers in the room. However, this wasnt an issue for me as my case locked, but this could easily catch ypu out. Other than the charging situation, the noise at night made it harder for me to sleep. But the hostel can't be blamed for this as this can be expected in a large city, and was easily solved by purchasing some earplugs.

The bed was not very comfortable though I didn't have any major issues after 4 nights. In general, I think I was expecting nicer toilets and showers. They only provide hand soap, no shower gel, and you have to pay for towels if you're staying in a dorm. In addition, there's no paper towels anywhere, which is good for the environment but rather annoying otherwise, as the hand dryer in the women's toilets barely worked and there was none in the showers.

Vielleicht den Strassenverkauf einschränken, da es für die Hostelgäste sehr eng schon ist und evtl.wenn man dort einen Kaffee kauft, die Frage sich apart, ob man Trinkgeld gibt… ich meine nur man kann sich schlecht selber den Kaffee vom Automaten ziehen…

The roof was a bit hot to sleep in as there is no air conditioning, they provided a can which was nice

Varmt ute men ingen aircondition. Fläkt fanns med det var ganska varmt ändå, speciellt på solsidan. Dagtid var det mycket varmt i rummen. Det var mycket ljud från gatan och därför svårt att ha fönstret öppet Frukostbuffén var bra men man var tvungen att välja mellan juice, te och kaffe. Juice ska ingå tycker vi. Man fick bara en kaffe och om man ville ha mer fick man betala. Det var inte speciellt generöst och vi har aldrig upplevt detta på ett boende tidigare. Hiss-/rumsbrickan slutade fungera 30 min innan vi checkade ut vilket var märkligt. Det blev stressigt eftersom vi var tvungna stå i receptionen och få det fixat när vi hade bråttom till flygplatsen. Det var någon policy de hade, lite som om de försökte uppfostra folk. Personalen - ung personal - i receptionen var i regel trevlig men enstaka var väl nonchalanta.

For the price the single room was almost a joke. Cramped with almost zero amenities. Well... it's a hostel. Bring your own everything seems to be the rule.

Pondrí algun baño más por planta, y la falta de aire acondicionado ( han sido unos días muy calurosos y en la habitación hacía calor. El resto perfecto

The street noises at night, although we got use to it.

it is 2023 and they still have not managed to have curtains at the beds for at least some privacy in a dorm

Estava muito calor em Berlim e a acomodação não tinha refrigeração no quarto,m.

Didn't like my room that much. And generally I don't think the offering justified the price. On the otehr hand it's a hostel and you don't expect to spend long time in your room(s)
