The Circus Hostel

Very hot in the room, no AC, only one small fan The noise : the tramway outside is REALLY loud. Definitely need to bring good earplugs in order to sleep especially in the summer heat.

The location is great but it comes at the price of significant noise if the windows of the room are facing the street.

Ich hätte mir etwas mehr Programm gewünscht ( Hostel Aktivitäten ) um mehrere Alleinreisende kennenzulernen.

Didn’t have an air conditioning on the room

Door het centraal liggen van het hostel heb je wel veel geluidsoverlast van de straat, dus oordopjes zou ik zeker aanraden. In de kamer waarin ik verbleef ontstond er een soort tweedeling in mensen die het raam open wilden voor zuurstof en de temperatuur en de mensen die het raam dicht wilden voor wat minder geluidsoverlast. Verder waren de toiletten bij de kamers degelijk schoon, maar de toiletten beneden bij de bar konden wel iets meer aandacht gebruiken.

De locatie was minder goed dan verwacht ten opzichte van de grote uitgaanscentra. De prijs was daarnaast ook relatief hoog voor wat er in vergelijking met andere hostels gevraagd wordt. De prijs wordt echter wel waargemaakt door de kwaliteit van de faciliteiten en ik kan uiteraard niks zeggen over de faciliteiten van de andere hostels die lagere prijzen aanbieden. De staf was vriendelijk, maar wel op een professionele manier en ze zouden niet uit zichzelf een praatje met je maken.

Esquina ruidosa de transportes públicos. Habitacion calurosa, la de 6 personas. Llama la atencion que no tenga aire acondicionado para lo bien equipado que está el hostel.

The room was sooo hot! Hello Europe in august with no Aircon. And my plugs inside the bed alcove didn’t work. Also who uses a USB anymore. I hate that hostels don’t have regular outlets in the beds or at least upgrade and offer a USB-C these days. Definitely a pricier hostel, but it’s Germany.

My dorm had pizza slice lying on the balcony floor and it was not cleaned during the 1 day I stayed there.

Sem ventilador para todas as camas. Sem tomada na cama, só carrega por USB. Muito barulho.

No había tv en la pieza (aloje en una matrimonial) y el baño que si bien, es compartido, hay uno para mujeres o otro para hombres y la gente del hostal no lo respetaba

Didn't get my shampoo, conditioner and shower gel back, because someone took them from the shower area. I wasn't prepared that there's some public transportation sounds coming from outside.

Fanns inte eluttag vid sängen, sängarna var lite hårda och det var rätt lyhörd både utifrån och från korridoren

Le prix du petit déjeuner, la tranquillité au sein des dortoirs (manque de respect : bruit, consommation d'alcool, de drogues, non respect du sommeil des autres)

The one thing is that the central location resulted in being next to a noisy street (ambulances/fire trucks seemed to go past every 5 minutes). This isn't a problem if you're fine with sleeping with earplugs, but you should consider this if you're sensible to noise. Also I would've liked the stairs to be more easily accessible (you have to go through a different entrance which requires to be buzzed in), as I don't like having to wait for the elevator.
