Eastener Hostel

This hostel is good for the basics - it provides a clean place to sleep and shower. The location is decent but still had to use public transport to get to some things. The host was really nice and friendly and helped us out whenever we needed it for places to eat, see and how to get round the city. However, the beds were extremely creaky to the point where it wakes you up, the kitchen was quite small and limited facilities and unfortunately for us, right outside our window was construction at7AM

The owner is such a friendly guy and the hostel is convenient and private because of its size. I would recommend booking this to everyone and will for sure come back.

There is nothing to complain about. They have a locker for those who check out but want to keep their stuff there for a few hours before taking a train or something. BTW, be aware that Hostelworld support is useless. I was scammed by Sarphati Hostel last year and sent HW clear proof of that, but they just ignored me. They still keep Sarphati Hostel on their website. (and all of this has absolutely nothing to do with Eastener Hostel, they are nice!)

El mejor!

Everything was fine. We stayed in the family room. The only thing was that when you take a shower the whole bathroom floor gets wet. It is functional but less than ideal.

Matt is great. He's very welcoming and helpful if you need absolutely anything. He made the stay wonderful! The hostel itself is also very clean and the facilities are good. Would definitely recommend staying here. The only issue I had was that I was woken up at night by people on the street and in the morning by people using the kitchen, which is to be expected in a hostel. So nothing new there.

really enjoyed time here, good location facilities were good. kitchen is well stocked, fridge and labels are provided for food. each guest has a locker and a personal safe for valuables.

I enjoyed staying at this simple hostel. I was well received and helped out, thank you!! The kitchen is equipped well enough to make food & eat. There was an overall respect from everyone to keep the facilities clean.

nice and quiet area but close enough to walk to the main venues along Parisian Platz and Brandenburg Gate. very clean place and friendly and helpful staff. Tim was exceptional and kept inconstant communication with me. The roomsare small but great to sleep in, restrooms and shower are centrally located. Highly recommend if you don't want the party scene right where you sleep.

The place was clean and staff was nice and helpful, and with a good location. There were not so many people before Christmas, but I had a comfortable stay :)

This hostel is exactly as described on the webpage and in review, small, quiet and clean, no bullshit. Ventilation on the rooms could improve a little and a microwave on the kitchen would be a good addition. Overall great value!

We had a great stay at this hostel. Spacious room, good kitchen and excellent staff. Not a party hostel and very small. Great location close to transport, bars, restaurants and supermarkets. Thank you for your kindness and hospitality towards our small family. Highly recommended.

honestly super great place to stay in mitte. good location- close to train stations, berlin wall is walking distance. the only thing is the room is pretty small- but hardly a complaint just something I didn’t look in to, and less emphasis on community. Very safe area and security is lovely. would recommend if looking for a bed and nice shower.

Small, comfortable Hostel. Everything was clean and it had everything I needed (also towel included). Very kind, easy going owners. In the neighborhood you can find a lot of restaurants and cafés. You can walk easily to most of the touristic places and also the trainstation is close by.

We had booked the twin bedroom, which would have been perfect if not for how cold it was during our stay. The staff at the hostel moved us to the family room which was fantastic and very warm! Thank you so very much for your kindness and generosity.

I stayed 4 nights in a private room, it was clean, felt safe, and even had a sink + safe for valuables in the room. The kitchen has everything you’d need to make meals or there’s plenty of restaurants nearby. Nice warm showers. Location is handy for everything including getting to the airport. The staff member I met was a local and very friendly. Downsides (if it matters to you) are atmosphere in the hostel is very quiet & construction work directly outside started at 7am which was quite loud.

A tiny hostel right in the middle of Berlin. Very clean, perfect for short says. Since it's really tiny, there's not really a shared space to sit chat and chill, except for the small kitchen. Tim is just amazing, great host.

Buen lugar, bien ubicado, áreas comunes y baños siempre limpios. Solo faltó un poco de aseo en las habitaciones, pero no estaba sucio, solo faltaba barrer un poco. El anfitrión te ayuda mucho si lo necesitas, amable y presente. Cocina bien equipada, baños limpios y cómodos.

Great place, great prices, in a really nice neighborhood in Berlin. Host was nice and accommodating. Maybe could use a few more wall hooks in the rooms.

This was my second time staying at the Eastener. The hostel is located in a very central location and there are many places to shop or eat nearby. The rooms are small and the reception is not always staffed but the instructions given to enter are straightforward. We couldn't come on the day we originally planned and Matt helped us rebook to another night. Would definetely stay here again.

This place is GREAT! Safe, the location is superb, the atmosphere is perfect for what it advertises. If you need a calm place, to rest and cook for your traveling this place is perfect. Matthias and Tim were great hosts and I would recommend this Hostel to all my friends aand Family.

kleines nettes Hostel mit sehr freundlichem und engagiertem Besitzer. da es eher günstig ist, lernt man hier Leute aus aller Welt kennen (nicht nur die priviligierten). wahrscheinlich die saubersten Badezimmer, die ich je in einem Hostel gesehen habe!

Small, quiet, well-equipped, with enthusiastic staff and clean facilities.

We had a great stay at Easterner! The staff who greeted us was super friendly and provided a map/recommendations. The washrooms got a bit messy overnight with everyone sharing them but that’s not unexpected. It was quiet and a great atmosphere. There was a wide range of people who were all interesting and friendly. We would stay here again.

Was a safe and secure few nights stay in Berlin. If you want more of a hotel vibe I would recommend Eastener.

Eastener is a nice, small, non party hostel. It is situated in a central neighborhood and very well managed. There r many restaurants and shops close by, also a sports bar. It is very clean, and showers r hot. Perhaps it suffers to some degree because it is too small. Besides the bedroom and small kitchen there is no where else to go, especially on a cold and wet Berlin day.

I loved my stay here. The place is quiet and clean. Location is amazing. However, I felt there was a lack of common area where you could sit apart from the kitchen. Staff is super nice , lovely people. I would recommend it to everyone who love quiet, clean space in a good location. Cheers ! Rohit

Nice small hostel, good value for money, clean. Walking distance from a bunch of bars and restaurants as well as attractions and U-bahn. Friendly welcome by Tim. Relatively small shared room with small kitchen (not really suited for proper meal cooking); very much a come-and-go hostel, less of a communal atmosphere but would definitely recommend for individuals/small groups looking for a bed for the night.

Dios mío! El lugar es fantástico, me sentí como en casa! Todo muy limpio, el sitio esta ubicado perfectamente y Tim el chico de la recepción es súper majo!! Hay cocina muy bien equipada y súper limpia. Los baños también limpios e impecables!

Steckdosen am Bett wären praktisch und auch Haken für die Handtücher wären super gewesen. Alles in allem aber Wirklich empfehlenswert!

Perfekt für 1-2 Tage. Würden wir jederzeit wieder machen.
