Hostel in a really unsafe area, sandwiched in between a strip club and a casino with people shouting outside constantly, were placed in a room with two individuals that made me and my friend feel really unsafe. Understandable why it’s non-refundable because we stayed for about an hour and checked out, the staff didn’t even question it. no young person would feel safe here especially a female

I was welcomed so nicely and kindly by Chris R. He understood that I had come from far and made me feel special. Chris R is a huge asset to your hostel. Its not an easy job and to keep opening the door while attending to somebody cannot be easy. And to keep focused on what every person wants/needs/requires is to be commended.
I liked the fact that us "older" folk were put together. There were noisy guys outside but in another building. That cannot be controlled.

Nothing except the price.
The recepcionist was rude and even said that I can go.
The location is terrible.
It smelled bad in the reception and they did not let my friend stay in reception while I was checking out. The receptionist did not respect queue and he would chaotically serve the check-in guests, people at the bar and some random guys coming to ask questions.
And I had to make the bed myself and take away the blankets myself.

I loved the place. I always use hostels, and Hostelworld is consistently a good deal.
That said, the men's toilets, BOTH of them, were clogged my second and third days.
That just wasn't pleasant. Otherwise, everything was hunky-dory.

Super clean facility. Convenient location next to the main train station and in the heart of the red light district. Friendly and helpful staff.

Despite the scary location (lots of homeless people around the hotel), the inside was safe with good security measures in place. Very close to central station. We were there for only one night so it was okay otherwise we wouldn’t have been able to stay more.
Location, despite being close to the station felt very unsafe. We had a studio apartment which was passably clean but there were some sort of insects as I was covered in insect bite in the morning. Bathroom was clean but there wasn’t any partition between bath and toilet and taking a shower meant that whole bathroom gets wet.

Although the location is steps from the train station and within a mile of sight seeing, it is located in the heart of the red light district so be prepared for prostitution, crack use and crime right outside the door. It is very loud all hours of the night with screams from drug users. The staff was very friendly, clean showers, AC was broken.

The hostel has good facilities, and is an easy and convenient place to stay for a stopover in Frankfurt. The only drawback, which is made clear in the hostel description is that is located in the middle of the red light district but very close to central station. Overall the hostel was secure, and walking through the area during the day was fine!
