The hostel is well secured, the staff are friendly and the prices are affordable. The common areas are nice (with coffee and tea available). But it’s true that the big black spot is the location... near the station but with a rather oppressive atmosphere outside at the end of the day. And then some taxes such as sheets, which are not mentioned and must be paid in addition on arrival... For a short stay, it is satisfactory

The staffs are nice and approachable. The Haus and Margharita Pizza were great. The place is clean and comfortable. My stay was great and i'm satisfied.

Das Five Elements ist ein Sehr freundliches und offenes Hostel mit hoher Sauberkeit. Die Leute sind super freundlich und der Service lässt auch nichts zu wünschen übrig. Das einzige was mir noch etwas gefehlt hat, sind Vorhänge vor den Betten, aber das ist meckern auf hohem Niveau. Alles andere ist super. Das Hostel liegt leider im Rotlichtviertel, aber dafür ist es nur 5 Minuten vom Bahnhof entfernt und drinnen bekommt man davon auch nichts mit.

Die Lage ist schrecklich, die Leute dort auch teilweise gruselig und man fühlt sich eklig. Man muss das Bett selber überziehen und man muss vor Ort nochmal was drauf zahlen.

Inside the hostel is good, it's the outside that's scary. Do your best to be inside before it gets dark. It is close to the main station, but there are many drunk and high people in the area at night and some still during the day. I stayed in an all female room, and for how soon I booked beforehand it was quite a good price (14€ a night). Also loved the 2x1 happy hour and free coffee!

It's an economic place to stay near the train station. The beds and general arrangements are pretty standard, nothing extraordinary. But they have €5 of mandatory fees that they take in cash, and another €7 in deposit (including the towel). Check-in is at 4pm which is a little late. The location is quite dodgy. A lot of people looking like junkies even during the day, doesn't feel safe. The Wi-Fi was a lot better in the common area than in the room, it's a little spotty at times up there. I stayed in a dormitory and there's a guy who had a deafening snore and would basically shout at any disruption himself such as when he turned around with a bad back.

Location is in red light district but it’s very nice

De mis mejores estancias la pase aquí. El personal fue muy amable y ayudaron mucho, los servicios adicionales como cena y estación de café fueron increíbles. El cuarto es muy espacioso y cómodo. Solo mejoraría la recepción del wifi en la habitación. Es una pena que quede en una mala zona. Es bueno que quienes van con familias o viajan solos lo sepan, afortunadamente nada sucedió.

Ein einfaches Hostel mit sehr nettem Personal und einem guten Frühstücksangebot. Die Ausstattung ist ausreichend, aber nichts besonderes. Die Lage ist einerseits gut, weil nah am Bahnhof, andererseits fühlt man sich nicht besonders wohl in der Gegend. Das liegt nicht am Hostel, sondern eher am Frankfurter Bahnhofsviertel. Insgesamt eine ordentliche Adresse beispielsweise für einen Transfer zum Flughafen.

I had booked a single room equipped with own bathroom and kitchen for one night along with the complimentary breakfast facility for the next day. The room was clean, hygienic and well-maintained. The location is just 5 mins walk from the Frankfurt Main Hauptbahnhof which is a very big advantage. The hostel is also very safe with good security of doors and maindoors. The staff were friendly and kind. The staff at the reception was kind enough to arrange a person who helped me take my luggage and dropped me till the platform on which my train was arriving. Truly grateful for their help. Definitely recommending a stay here.

I enjoyed this hostel. Great vibes, quite clean, and surprisingly quiet in the rooms. I am a solo female traveler and did not find the area to be too concerning, as other reviews suggest, though I come from a city with a decent sized homeless population, so my standards may be different. Two things I found slightly frustrating were that paying for bedsheets did not include a towel (needed a seperate deposit), and the showers did not provide soap.

Clean, calm and cosy. No party hostel. Cosy cafe area. Very close to main train station. The area is just really weird, but locals will pass the street too and it’s quick to walk through.

The location was awful and terrifying! The street is full of sex hotels and strip clubs- I dont know how no one made a comment about this already. As a woman traveling by myself, I felt like the street was incredibly dangerous. You could not be outside at night. 0/10 for the location. It is a shame because the staff was nice. I cut my stay short because of how scary it was

We booked a private room with bathroom. The bathrooms smells very stong, so does the corridors where the communal bathrooms is. Moreover they was hair in the shower right after we checked in, which was obviously not ours. The location in quiet uncomfortable for young people and unsafe especially for young women. The hostel is based right next to a brothel and casino. To enter the stairway to your room, you’ll have to contact reception to open in anytime, a bit uncomfortable but good for safety.

location is not that far from the central station but it located middle of the entertainment section so it's too noisy at night.

superangenehm, schöne Aufenthaltsräume mit Charakter, Tee Kaffee zu jederzeit vorhanden, sogar Hafermilch und echte Blumen. jeah !, sehr nette Mitarbeitende, Frühstücksbuffet für 7,50 und saubere praktische und schöne Sanitärräume. 5 min zu Fuss zum Bahnhof ist sehr praktisch. Die Stimmung draussen: sozialer Brennpunkt, drinnen sehr sicheres Gefühl.

Stay clear from here, if you're not street smart. I couldn't even find the entrance before I had to evacuate. My gut tells me it's about time to leave quick, but calm, when junkies, beggars, thugs and aladeen looking engineers start slowly closing in on you. What an experience. almost like from a movie. I ain't dying for 40€ keep the money, I'll book elsewhere

Ostello ok, ho scelto la soluzione con tre letti e bagno in camera. Letti vecchi ma comodi anche se un pò rumorosi, stanza pulita. Ricordo ancora una volta che si sono 3 euro da pagare all’arrivo per le coperte (strategia di marketing molto discutibile). Collegato molto bene con il centro citta. Problema non insignificante è la zona in cui è ubicato, sei nel red light district con tante persone all apparenza drogate che sembrano zoombie

The chamber was really cheap so it’s was cool. For the location, the hostel is not in the best area of Frankfurt. I didn’t feel really safe as a young woman, while walking in the street especially in the evening. Although I didn’t had any trouble. The real problem in the hostel was the cleanness. The bathroom was ok, but I find a lice in my bed (and it was not mine.). Also someone let hair (WITH LICES) in the sink of the common bathroom, that was disgusting. Otherwise the staff was really nice!

I stayed here back in Apr. 2024. If you're going to stay at a hostel in this area of Frankfurt, this is probably the best choice. It's not the hostel's fault at all, but the area outside the hostel is really terrible. It's right in the middle of the red-light district, which I normally wouldn't care much about, but I did almost get mugged by a couple guys across the street from the hostel late one night, but the hostel staff let me in right away because they recognized me, frankly saving me. The inside of the hostel is pretty nice. The lounge area is very comfortable and spacious. The staff are really chill, really nice, and they'll take your stay seriously. My room was high up, which had an alright view. You get a huge trunk under your bed to put your luggage in, which was kind of nice. Pulling it out over and over again was a bit of a pain (that's my own fault for being forgetful), but it's definitely spacious, so you'll likely have room for all of your things. I personally had a ton of extra room because I traveled light. The overall quality of the room was alright. There's nothing wrong with it, it just was... alright. Sometimes, that's a great thing. There's a pool table in the basement and there's an entertainment area: tons of DVD's and Blu-Rays to watch on a decently sized flat-screen. There's a small kitchen area that is in the same room as a washer and dryer that guests can pay to use. It's frankly too crowded in the kitchen/laundry room once more than 2 people are in there. I recommend they find a different setup for these two services. Each floor gets a couple private showers to use. I don't know if it was a fluke with mine, but it was THE DARKEST shower I've ever been in in my life. It was really difficult to see anything in there, which made me feel really uneasy.

Es war großartig, wie ich bei Euch schlafen und duschen durfte! Dass das ganze Haus etwas bebt, weil unter ihm die Bahn fährt und um es die Straßen-Aktivitäten manchmal etwas laut werden, hat meinen Schlaf nur befördert, sodaß ich Eure freundlich vorgelegten Ohrstöpsel gar nicht brauchte. Eure freundliche Begrüßung und Eure Fürsorge für mein Wohlergehen über den ganzen Tag haben mich sehr beeindruckt! Einen ganz herzlichen Dank,

A limpeza do quarto não estava boa, encontramos um pacote de lenços atrás da cama e restos de bala atrás do aquecedor. Ao tomar banho o chão do banheiro molhava inteiro e os corredores do hostel cheiravam muito mal, como se não tivesse nenhuma ventilação no local
