Dangerous location, no aircon so you cannot sleep during summer, horrible all around even for the price, do not stay here!

just be aware, the property is in a VERY dangerous area. Drug addicts, prostitution and criminals all around. Very unsafe area. The other issue is the room I stayed in had no air conditioning , and it was a warm day so sleeping was very uncomfortable in a hot room. once you are in the property it is safe, and if you leave early in the AM all the crackheads outside will be asleep so I highly recommend leaving in the AM. The staff was nice.

Not my first time staying here, and for value for money it doesn't get better than this! Right next to HBF, so it's a bit of a dangerous area, but I've never had any problems personally.

Location of the hostel is sketchy, not in the nicest area of town. There are many adult bars around the building itself and it’s an area with heavy drug users. The hostel provides the basics for a good stay: clean beddings and bathrooms. I didn’t like that there is only 1 shower per floor and two toilets. They were however quite clean.

The bathrooms weren't very clean. The rooms had very little privacy, and windows open onto a street that is incredibly loud at night. As others have mentioned, the surrounding area is not very nice. Security isn't great; anyone can be buzzed into the hostel. Overall, I wouldn't come here again, not only because this hostel wasn't amazing, but also because spending time in Frankfurt as a city wasn't worth the hassle of this stay (we didn't find to much to see there).

Hostel in a central location. Frankfurt is a grotty city (at least what we saw) but no fault of the hostel.

Nice. Budget hostel. Good for backpackers, students etc. Staff is super nice. Have got all the basic facilities. However, it was quite noisy outside especially during night time, so don’t forget to take ear plugs. Moreover , the streets were filthy and the atmosphere around this hostel stinks. Beware of the thugs around especially during night time. Over the stay was good.

The room is generally nice, not that kind of excellent but not too bad. Regarding sanity, I wouldn’t say it’s the cleanest but I didn’t encounter any problem. Maybe there are too many people on one floor for just one shower+ 2 toilets. The staff are really nice and helpful. They offer help as soon as I needed it. Overall, a satisfying stay inside the hostel. However, the location is worth considering if you are a female travelling alone or with few people. IT CAN GET REALLY DANGEROUS. Some junkies started bothering me when I was just heading out to buy some breakfast. And the smell in the streets are the worst kind I’ve encountered throughout my life. However, it’s near the HBF so maybe it’s a trade-off. I wouldn’t risk my life again in this red light area tho.

The location is not safe at all, especially if travelling alone however the hostel itself is very secure. The pods were comfortable but rooms would get rather hot and opening the windows was hard as it was very loud outside. Staff were pleasant but lacked enthusiasm, but any issues were sorted straight away. Not many young people at the hostel tho?

Hostel is placed in crackhead Central basically like The Walking Dead.. I personally would avoid Frankfurt altogether if you can but.. The Hostel was a very nice the staff are very kind , and the rooms are immaculate , very comfortable and clean and great showers in the dorms and the privates shame it’s let down by the location, no place for Hostel.

I stayed 4 nights there and experience was great. Stay is clean , common areas clean as well . Friendly staff engaging activities like crepe night , pasta night which was really amazing . Daily room cleaning . Storage option for baggage , mini kitchen , refrigerator, washing machine , dryer everything included . I made few friends there too . Location is in the main central railway station , very good connectivity but except the fact that many drug people also red light street everything else was okay about the place

The location of this hostel is TERRIBLE!! Super dangerous and in the “worst street in Germany”, complete mess. However, the staff were lovely (Aussie guy, super nice) and made me feel a-lot better about my stay. Not too bad of a hostel, no curtains and rustic building in a terrible loud location.

DON’T STAY HERE! Strongly recommend you don’t stay here. No social atmosphere in the hostel at all. They don’t really organise anything meaningful. The toilets stank of sewage. No curtains in the dorms causing light and noise to escape and causing arguments at night between guests. You have to make the bed as well. The location is hell and don’t stay in the near area it’s zombie land either. The staff are…okay but too busy to be at reception.

this is not safe at all for female travellers and the fact it is in the red light district needs to be much clearer, the area is extremely bad and when we checked into our room we were met by 5 old men (around 50 to 60 years old) staring right at us. please do not stay here as a female traveller.

The property and rooms themselves were clean and staff friendly enough. Free tea and coffee, and comfortable beds. Note to female solo travellers about location: although the hostel itself is good, the location really doesn't feel safe. I've travelled extensively and ignored the other reviews, but unfortunately felt very uncomfortable and unsafe here, speaking with other girls in the hostel, the feeling was shared :( They do make this clear in the description and it's unfortunate because the hostel itself is good, but wouldn't stay here again.

I will not be staying here again. I figured that the hostel being in the red light district wouldn't be a huge issue, however that was far from the case. The area all around the hostel is extremely sketchy with people up all times of the night yelling, sirens blaring, begging for money, etc. There is a buzzer on the hostel to get in thankfully. If you stay in a room that is facing the street, good luck sleeping, even in a pod room. Going off of that, there was a crazy person staying in my room which led to

good bulding but you the sunrounds will be the walking dead series , for couple nights its okay

The hostel is in an excellent location - a street away from the central station. The staff is very polite, helpful and the ambience in the lobby area is amazing. There are a lot of people around and it is very easy to strike up fun conversations. My only gripe with the hostel was the room itself - the window and blinds were always closed (no matter the time of the day I went in), to the point that there was a very clear stench that just did not go away. It was slightly suffocating.

Infelizmente, este hostel tem um problema central que compromete completamente a experiência: A localização! Fica no meio de uma área bastante degradada do centro da cidade (a chamada Zona Vermelha), onde é comum ver prostituição, bordéis e pessoas em situação de dependência química, inclusive se injetando substâncias em plena via pública. Esse cenário se repete na estação central, nas ruas ao redor e até mesmo na porta do hostel (o dia todo, todos os dias), o que torna o ambiente constantemente desconfort

Estrutura e serviço excelentes, com destaque para a limpeza. O hostel é muito bom e possui uma equipe atenciosa. É importante estar ciente de que a localização é bem central, muito próxima a estação (cerca de 3 quadras), o que faz com que seja um local em que pessoas adictas usam drogas livremente pela redondeza. Não recomendo transitar a pé fora do horário comercial, especialmente se você for mulher viajando sozinha. Apesar disso, gostei muito e me hospedaria lá novamente pela praticidade.

I waited one hour for check-in. I couldn't sleep the entire night. It was extremely loud and noisy outside. Drunk people were screaming and throwing glasses. The room itself was dirty. I have a dust allergy, and I can tell it was extremely dusty, and the bathroom was dirty

Great if you need something cheap near the hbf. They had great recommendations and care was clearly put into cultivating the common areas. That said, my blanket had a crusty spot that wasn’t properly washed off, the elevator didn’t come to the fifth floor, and you could see groups of people doing drugs right outside the giant window of the lobby. Staff was friendly. Pretty secure (lots of safety measures to get in). Met some great people. Got a good vibe overall. Solid B+ stay!

the area is not safe, but the hostel staff ensure that you are safe inside. the facilities are clean and the bunks are made well. the area brings down the atmosphere a lot because you are in the red light district. otherwise, if you can deal with that, it’s okay. i would not recommend it for women traveling alone.

Price worthy, yet extremely noisy, it was overall good but somehow too expensive to effort

I went to the hostel with very low expectations, as the location is probably one of the worst in Frankfurt. However, I must recognize that once inside the building, you dont realize where you are. Inside is just as any other hostel. I must also recognize that everything is very clean, even more than many other hostels. The staff also was very friendly. The only issue is probably that there was no hot water.

I wanted to experience hostel life in Germany. But is not so great. Bed without curtains no place to hang jacket. It’s very basic for the price I paid. Have gotten a hotel with everything private in this price.

The hostel itself is great: clean rooms, clean toilet, kind staff. Reception open h24. Very good breakfast. The location is really bad: junkies everywhere around the block and super bad smell as a consequence. I haven't felt afraid or threatened, but it's a shame those people don't get help from the municipality

Great hostel! Good service at the front desk, and they let you hang out in their pleasant common area with tables, outlets and a coffee/tea/water bar before check-in and after checkout. The location (in the red light district) is quite seedy, with drunk people and drug users all over the street right outside the hostel. The hostel facade is also a bit easy to miss, so it can be a little scary looking for it along this shady street between the bars and strip clubs / sex shop. But don't worry, security at the hostel seems quite good. You have to press a button on the outside and they will buzz you in. The portion of the building containing the rooms is also separated from the common area by another locked door that has to be manually opened by a front desk attendant, who often ask people to show their hostel card, so you can be assured that people almost certainly won't be able to get in from off the street. Note that it gets a bit stinky and hot/stuffy in the public areas, at least on the upper floors (I was on floor 5). If you can afford it, I recommend one of the rooms with its own bathroom.

the hostel Is located in a street full of drug addicts, theres people injecting heroin all day and all night in front of the Building. and at night when i asked if i could smile a cigarette in the back garden because I was afraid of all the junkies I was told i couldnt because the neighbours might complain. an hostel that cares more about neighbours complains than its guests safety Is the worst kind of hostel you can find.

Location is a bit unnerving, but nobody will bother you outside if you don’t bother them.
