Five Elements Hostel

It was very hot in the 5th floor and I slept drenched in sweat for two nights. There are no strict rules regarding switching the lights on in the night and keeping phone silents so the roommates made it even more horrible. Otherwise it was good ????

Staff seemed quite frustrated. Location is very central and accessible but kinda intense and unsafe. Overall decent place with sufficient, clean facilities and good price for what it offers.

L’hostel est juste à coté de la station de train, par contre l’emplacement n’est vraiment pas l’idéal. Il y avait plusieurs sans abris et personnes sous l’influence de qqch, donc je ne me sentais pas en super sécurité. Pour le rester, c’était correct, mais un peu cher.

In the middle of the red light districted, surrounded by drug addicts. Charged me an extra €6 for the bed sheets and pillow.

Fantastic hostel, the location couldn’t be better. Yes, as others say there are some interesting characters on the street in the area but honestly, they’re minding their business. I have never been stopped by or even spoken to by anyone so I felt rather safe. The hostel was super clean. When back in Frankfurt again, I won't look for another place.

Overall a good experience. Service was good. Breakfast was good. The rooms were clean. The reason for 4 stars was the location was not good at all, despite being close to the train station it is in the red light district and very noisy. The rooms windows close and block out noise but there is no AC so it was very hot. It did not have a welcome homely feeling but overall a very good hostel.

To match nose to sleep and a bit dangerous to go out alone at night to go eat when your a women.

Definitely don't go. They put someone at the reception desk who had trouble understanding. It keeps people waiting. He says don't wait that long and come in the evening. The computer is also slow. If your time and energy are valuable, do not go here

Please don’t be deceived by the 4 star review. Picked this hostel due to its proximity to the main train station but i regretted my decision immediately on my walk over from the station. I got a private room since I had a very long flight and wanted to get a good night’s sleep. The hostel is right in the middle of the Frankfurt red light district. Apart from the array of sex workers standing around the area, the vicinity is filled with people high to various extents and acting like hooligans. Due to this, the area also smells of urine. Getting to the actual room, yes it the minimal level of clean but as expected for the price you get a pretty basic mattress that isn’t comfortable. They also charge you for the bedsheets which came as a shock to most the people staying there. Would not stay here again.
