Sunflower Hostel

I really enjoyed my time here. Most (not all) of the staff were nice and friendly and the breakfast was delicious and really good value. You definitely need to be aware that whilst it isn’t a party hostel the majority of peole visiting are definitely there for the clubbing! But it’s friendly and respectful and if you get a room further away from the bar it’s not noisy. A couple of things which make it four star and not five star - I think it’s mean that they refuse to let you use the shower before you check in and check in isn’t until 4pm. If you’ve come on an overnight train or bus then obviously you cannot expect your bed to be ready but being told you have to wait hours and hours to freshen up is not nice - especially when there are shared showers directly off the corridor. Secondly they refused to let us have breakfast one day because their card machine was broken. We were staying there for three weeks combined (me two weeks and my friend one week) over the football season so they were making plenty of money from us. Surely a tab against our rooms would have been possible but they refused. But I still recommend this place.

I really enjoyed staying at Sunflower! The location was great and I really enjoyed my room. It was spacious with a very large bathroom, which made me feel all the more comfortable. The 22-hour bar is also a perk.
