Nice indoor and outdoor area to hang out, but it was a shame that the whole outdoor area was a smoking area - it smelt horrible! When will Europe learn?! We want to sit outside for fresh air, not to get emphysema.

Generally friendly staff. Clean showers. Free towels. Lockers and safe available. WiFi and PC's with internet available. There is even a fully equipped kitchen.

Awesome staff, awesome location. For the third time in a raw this place never fails to make Berlin more fun and cosy.

The cleanliness is very very good in Heart of Gold Hostel and for me this is very important because I am a maniac about that. The Hostel has a lot of common spaces: the bar, the garden and the kitchen at the 5th floor. They organise the 'happy hour time' so the people could meet together. The staff is very good and they speak a lot of languages, including the italian. The location is perfect because they are in the city center and you can go to the Brandeburger Tor in 10/15 minuts by walk. I don't really know if the security is high but I feel secure here. There are a lot of padlock-spaces and if you dont have a padlock you can 'rent' one.

Normally in hostels and hotels the breakfast starts at 7 AM,not 8 AM.Because we had to leave before 8 AM,we could not have the breakfast.I asked to have it to go or something but the staff did not want to help us.Ok,enjoy the bad review then,as you wish.

Security was very high because there were towels for everyone. Excellent in every field!

I was very comfortable in Gold hostel Berlin. Everything was ok! thank u all the staff!

Unfortunately, I got a shock from the room that there is no toilet. And an open shower in a private room with two separate beds implies that it is not a couple. Too bad not to mention. I didn't expect to stay in the hostel much during my stay, but I did expect a more logical and basic level of cleanliness and a little more value to what I was paying. It should be noted that it is a hostel for especially young guys, who do not care about cleaning and being thrown out, getting dressed and drinking all the time. And unfortunately the lack of flexibility at checkout (knew in advance that this was the case, created an unpleasant situation (no problem adding payment) and felt like a train station) So apart from the wonderful location and some of the staff who were lovely and Berlin is a fun city, I would not recommend the place.
