Five Elements Hostel

Hormis l'emplacement moyen, l'auberge est plutôt agréable.

Finding the hostel was easy, but you're let in without anyone checking who you are. In this area, that's a concern for me. The area is awful, full of people on all sorts of HARD drugs who are scary. Without more security or at least a Ring doorbell, it's worrying. Once inside, the hostel is clean and the staff are lovely. The bed was terrible though with the mattress being really deformed. The noise outside was too much to handle as well so we left 9hrs early and slept on the train.

This hostel is comically located in one of the sketchiest blocks I've ever seen in Europe, but everything else about the hostel is quite nice. Little quirks, but nothing worth noting.

Unfortunately this hostel is right in the middle of user central. The area is horrible. I never wanted to come back after dark, which affected my stay. It isn't the hostel's fault, and for their part they keep things clean. The decor is non existent and the rooms are bare.

Great hostel with good showers, comfortable beds and spacious rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice dining area with free tea and coffee. Laundry facilities on site. Close to supermarkets and station. Perfect location to explore Frankfurt. I would not hesitate to stay again.

One of the most interesting hostels I’ve ever been in. The common eating space has a floor to ceiling glass window that faces the street full of druggies. Which was (to me personally) a very interesting watch for every time you have a meal. If you’re a solo female traveller, it might not be the safest hostel but I was constantly with people I met in the hostel so I felt safe. The druggies outside won’t engage if you don’t make eye contact so that’s fine. Kitchen was small but very very homey. They had a poo

Average hostel but it is cheap enough that you can't complain! The location really is the red light district and you have to make your bed upon arrival but it was fine enough. :-)
